A wonderful day

Hello Dears,
So what I about to post about was supposed to be posted yesterday but our internet was not working so obviously that held me back from posting.
Yesterday was a wonderful day it started when my mom woke me up and told me to get dressed because we were going to breakfast.

Went to a local bakery/restaurant and had a very good breakfast.

A sparkly cardigan at GAP

During our outing Toots managed to accidentally break a glass at the cupcake store and get mistaken for a GAP employee. 
After we browsed in couple other shops we came home.
For the rest of the afternoon I drew, organized, hung around, and went to the fabric store to get some fabric for a bag I'm making.
After we had dinner we had Fruit strudel and played Settlers of Catan (the best game ever you have to play it!) we didn't get done playing it until a rather late time so I went right to bed. Im very excited because Toots, some friends of ours,and I get to babysit a bunch of kids for a New Years party it will be crazy and awesome at the same time. Ill try to post tomorrow!

So who is Toots?

So today as I was eating a very fine breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes a strange thought occurred to me, all this time you might have been wondering "why in the world is this blog called 

"The Adventures of Babycakes AND Toots" when every post 

(except the first one) is signed Babycakes" well the answer is…

(ok so right now I really want to say that Toots is my sister who is a secret agent who had to leave me after the first post to go save the world on a dangerous mission in the Bermuda Triangle but     

no that would be a lie) instead … Toots is my wonderful sister who is ever so patient with me and saves me from boredom every day."the Adventure of Babycakes and Toots" started out as a partner blog with Toots but it was really hard to find a window of available time for both of us to sit down and post so… Toots just gave me the blogging part to me and she would be the photographer.  
Ok on one last thing to Clarify is you haven't read the first "Toots" is not pronounced like the Bodily function caused by eating too many beans rather pronounced like the beginning of the word "tootsieroll". Wow that feels good to clear all that up.

nothing like the feeling of Christmas break

Hello my AMAZING followers,

There is nothing like the feeling of waking up on a Wednesday (waking up late) and thinking to myself I don't have any school on my list infact, I have an entire day of adventures ahead of me some of them being...

Having an indoor picnic lunch

Painting faces on marshmallows

Making paper snowflakes out of old book pages

Writing Christmas cards to some of my friends

Cleaning (yes,it can be an adventure)

Packing for going my Grandparents house

Realistically I can't get all those things done in a day because the cleaning part takes a little while but i'll just choose the things that I most want to do.

The Ballerina Project

Hello dears,

I love so many blogs and websites. 

And you can't never have too many websites to look at (right?).

Thanks to my good friend who has a love for ballet (like me) showed me this website called http://ballerinaproject.com/.

The Ballerina Project is a group of photographers and ballerinas who go to big cities in the US ( actually the first Ballerina Project was in Hawaii)(New York City and Brooklyn) and take pictures of the ballerinas in cityscape and various others scenes.

Things I've learned today

Hello loves!

For some reason I seem to be learning

 a lot of random things today.

1.It is really hard to carry two fat cats at the same time

(I found this out when my neighbors cats escaped and I had to carry them both inside at once or else the other one would run away again)

2.Alexander the Great died in 1322 B.C.

3.That when typing on the computer if you press (option) and then a letter or a number on the keyboard instead of just plain old letters and numbers showing up on the screen cool Greek letters and symbols show up.

4.Beatrix Potter's birthday is the day after mine or July 28.

5. Sometimes (most of the time) when your playing sports 

(boy vs. girls) the boy almost always beat the girls no matter how fast the girls are or how hard the girls work.

6. That whenever you are board...

A post (finally)

Dear Awesome and amazingly patient followers,

I so sorry I haven't posted in FOREVER (or two weeks) I feel like a terrible blogger! well right now I kinda just feel like posting pictures that make me happy or inspired.

Chocolate souffle: check

I finally got to make chocolate soufflé!
And it was probably the best dessert I've ever made!
Toots was going to take step by step pictures for me but I just got to cooking and forgot about telling her when 
I finished a step and needed a picture.
But she was able to get a couple pictures of this chocolatey goodness:)

you may have noticed that there were six dishes with the batter in it and only five fully baked ones why is that? Well again our mischivous dog got hungry and thought she might like a snack so she licked the dish clean in about ten seconds. But it was all ok. The soufflé was so rich I couldn't even eat a whole one so the person with only half a soufflé for the rest of mine.

Spending my beautiful saturday afternoon climbing trees

Designing my dream house that would just happen to be in a tree

Planning my trip to Paris

Dreaming about going to another world beyond our fence

and then jumping out of my favorite climbing tree

 digging my toes into cool green grass

 then give myself a satisfactory jump to tie off my adventure in 

the magical tree.

Ahhhhh Right now I am bouncing off the walls. Tonight I had my play (The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe) at first I wasn't sure if it would work out but we were on Fire!!! We have another performance tomorrow night I am soooo excited. Well its late and if I keep writing it will come out as a bunch of nonsense that you don't want to wast your time reading:)

Raggedy Ann

Hi Everone!
I was going to post about this a long time ago but time just slipped through my fingers.

A couple weeks ago my mom, my sister(toots), and I 

got to go to an antique store. And I found two little treasures.

An adorable 1960's Raggedy Ann doll

and a red bandana with white flowers all over it(I keep imagining that it used to be one of Audrey Hepburn's bandanas:)

I was admiring my cute clean cut doll with a little homemade dress until a friend came over and I stupidly left Ann on the counter instead of taking her upstairs to be introduced to the other critters on my bed. Within only a couple of hours I heard my mom yelling "Bad dog you give that to me" to my annoying (and still adorable)dog Penny.I ran downstairs to see what my mom was scolding my dog about and when I saw a couple of piles of red hair I knew that Penny had gotten bored and thought "oh look it's a new little doll and she's smiling at me so that MUST mean that she wants to play." So right now Ann has no hair.(sorry about the bad photo I'm not nearly as good of a photographer as Tootse is)       

But she still sits on my bed with a smile on her face.

{Five Wishes}

Hello, everyone! Babycakes and Toots here! First of all, we want to make something clear. "Toots" is not the bodily function caused by too many beans, but rather a nickname which is pronounced like the first part of "Tootsie Roll"

Now, with that out of the way, let's get rolling. We wanted to do something creative for our first post, however we hope that the rest of our posts will be just as creative. So, we want to tell you what we would wish for if a genie appeared out of a teapot while making our morning tea. (yes, yes, we know that's not their dwelling place... and yes, we know they're not real. :)

Babycakes:

I would wish...

1: to be able travel anywhere (especially Europe!)

2. to have a tree house (an awesome one like this one!!)

3. to be a world-class ballerina

4. to have a kitchen kind of like this (except not so small)

5. to find a passage into another world and meet my prince charming

Toots:

I would wish...

1. to meet the lovely Audrey Hepburn (and I'm supposed to make it clear that both Babycakes and I have equal love for Audrey:)

2. to live in this magical treehouse. 

3. to have a bug like this, except in powder blue, candy apple red, and kelly green. (gotta have a few ;)

4. to be a great photographer

5. to go to a ball and meet my Prince Charming
